Puja worship in hinduism

This Religion and worldviews video supports teachers in delivering a clear and respectful introduction to Hindu worship through puja. It explains how puja can be practised at home or in a mandir (temple) and how the rituals involved—such as lighting a flame, offering food, and using murtis—reflect Hindu beliefs about Brahman and the many forms God may take. The video explores how objects and actions in puja, including sound, scent, taste and touch, help worshippers connect physically and spiritually with the divine, using all five senses to focus their minds and bodies.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Religion and worldviews scheme – Hindu. It helps teachers understand the symbolism and sensory elements of puja, addressing common misconceptions about Hindu beliefs, such as the idea that Hindus believe in many gods. It prepares teachers to lead sensitive and inclusive discussions, support accurate vocabulary, and offer hands-on learning experiences that bring the concept of puja to life in the classroom.
