Dynamics, tempo and structure notation

This Music video introduces teachers to how dynamics, articulation, tempo, and structure are shown on staff notation. It explores the use of symbols and markings such as dynamics from pianissimo to fortissimo, articulation with staccato dots and slurs, tempo markings like largo or presto, and structural devices including repeat signs, first and second time bars, and double bar lines. The video demonstrates how these features work together to guide both performers and teachers in reading and interpreting music clearly.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Music scheme – notes. It simplifies music notation by breaking down complex elements into practical steps, helping teachers feel confident in explaining and demonstrating these concepts so pupils can read, understand, and rehearse music more independently.
