This Religion and Worldviews video helps pupils explore what the Bible is and why it is important to many Christians. It explains that the Bible is not just one book but a whole library, written by many different people over hundreds of years.

The video introduces the Old and New Testaments, explains how the Bible is organised into books, chapters and verses and shares some of the well-known stories and teachings it contains. It also shows how the Bible is used by Christians today and why it is seen as holy or special.
