Weather in Spain today

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow Spanish scheme of work. It helps you learn how to talk about the weather in different places across Spain.

You’ll travel across the country in a weather report, learning phrases like está lloviendo (it’s raining), hace sol (it’s sunny) and está nevado (it’s snowy). From the rainy north in Bilbao to the sunny centre in Madrid and the snowy mountains in Granada, you’ll discover how to describe what the weather is like in different regions. Listen out for direction words too, like norte (north), sur (south), este (east), oeste (west) and centro (centre). By the end of the video, you’ll be able to say what the weather is like using simple Spanish phrases.

The video is designed to be shown to pupils as part of Spanish, Lower key stage 2, Year 4, Unit 3: Weather in Spain, Lesson 4: Weather forecast
