The power of volcanoes

This Geography video shows dramatic real-life footage of volcanoes erupting, giving pupils the chance to see molten lava, ash clouds and powerful explosions in action. Showing locations around the world, including Guatemala, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Cape Verde and Hawaii, the clips reveal how eruptions can look from different angles, both on the ground and from the air. Pupils observe glowing lava flows, fountains of ash and the changing landscapes created by volcanic activity.

This video brings textbook learning to life, helping teachers capture pupils’ attention and build curiosity about volcanoes as they explore the power of our planet.
