The world in seven days

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow Religion and worldviews scheme of work. It introduces children to the Jewish and Christian creation story, found in the Book of Genesis. The story is told using simple, age-appropriate language and explains how God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. Each stage of creation is explored, helping children understand how some people believe the world and everything in it came into being.

The video supports pupils in learning how sacred texts shape beliefs about the origins of life and encourages them to think about how people express their understanding of the world in different ways.

The video is designed to be shown to pupils as part of Religion and worldviews, Mixed-age, Y1/2 (A): How did the world begin? Lesson 2: What might some Jewish and Christian people think about creation?
