This Religion and worldviews video introduces children to different celebrations for the Christian Easter Vigil. They are shown examples of the Paschal Candle spreading its light, symbolising Jesus as the ‘light of the world’. The video contains footage from celebrations around the world, including Macedonia, Greece, Nairobi and Vietnam. Children will gain an understanding of the diverse ways this ceremony is carried out and make connections between them, focusing on the role of fire.
