The Easter story: Jesus lives

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow Religion and worldviews scheme of work. It tells the Easter story from the Christian worldview. Children will hear how Jesus, who many Christians believe is the Son of God, entered Jerusalem, shared a special meal with his friends, and was later arrested and put on a cross. The story continues with the discovery of the empty tomb and the belief that Jesus rose from the dead. Christians believe this story shows God’s love, forgiveness and promise of new life. The video helps children explore the meaning of Easter and why it is important to many people today.

The video is designed to be shown to pupils as part of Religion and worldviews, Key stage 1, Year 2, *Updated* What is a prophet?, Optional Easter lesson: Why does Easter bring hope to many Christians?
