Stories of gratitude and faith

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow Religion and worldviews scheme of work. It explores how stories from different worldviews help people think about being thankful and trusting in something bigger than themselves.

The video shares two stories. The first is a Christian story about Jesus feeding five thousand people with just five loaves and two fish, after giving thanks to God. The second is a Hindu story about a poet named Surdas, who loved Krishna so much that after being given sight, he chose to lose it again because he had seen what mattered most. These stories help Christians and Hindus think about the importance of gratitude and love for God.

The video is designed to be shown to pupils as part of Religion and worldviews, Key stage 1, Year 2, *Updated* Why do we need to give thanks? Lesson 3: Why do some people thank God?
