Master the football shot

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow PE scheme of work. It is designed for pupils and focuses on developing shooting skills in football. The video begins by building on passing technique, teaching pupils to plant their non-kicking foot beside the ball and point it toward the target. Pupils then swing their kicking leg back for power and strike the ball using the inside of the foot. The lesson introduces a short run-up for added momentum and shows how swinging the arm across the body can increase power. Pupils are reminded to focus on aiming before adding strength to their shot to improve both accuracy and control.

The video is designed to be shown to pupils as part of Physical education, key stage 2, KS2, Football, Lesson 4: Shooting
