Exploring Sewa

This Religion and worldviews video helps pupils explore what Sewa means and why it is important to many Sikhs. It explains that Sewa is the idea of helping others through acts of kindness, respect and service, and that these actions show love for God and creation.

The video shows different ways some Sikhs people might carry out Sewa, such as helping in the community, sharing food in the Gurdwara, teaching others or giving to charity. It helps pupils understand that Sewa is not just about giving money, but also about giving time, skills and care to others.
