How germs spread and how to stop them

This RSE & PSHE video introduces the pupils to germs and helps them understand how these tiny living things can spread and, at times, make people ill. The children learn that germs are extremely small and cannot be seen, even when something looks clean.

The video explains how germs can spread from person to person through shared objects or when someone coughs or sneezes. It also explores the simple actions that can help stop germs from spreading, such as washing hands properly, using tissues and covering coughs and sneezes. Through clear explanations and everyday examples, the pupils learn when it is important to wash their hands.

This video is one of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE KS1 videos, which help teachers and pupils explore health, wellbeing and habits that support a healthy lifestyle.
