Across the year
These six standalone lessons should be taught at the end of each half-term. The timing is flexible but they should be planned to coincide with typical seasonal changes.

ELG: Understanding the world – The natural world
- Explore the natural world around them, making observations and drawing pictures of animals and plants.
- Understand some important processes and changes in the natural world around them, including the seasons and changing states of matter.
