Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support:

Should read the problems in pairs or as part of a small group and then record their responses on a recording device.

Could use a blank piece of paper to draw a picture/ image/icon to represent the problem. Children could then draw a speech bubble, writing their idea of a possible resolution inside.

Pupils working at greater depth:

Should give a more in depth response to the letters, including getting the problem setter to think about how their friend might be feeling.
