Laura Tatler
Laura is Primary Teacher and Geography and history curriculum Leader at Victoria Road Primary School.
Laura is an experienced primary educator and curriculum leader with 18 years of teaching experience. As a wider curriculum lead and geography specialist, she is passionate about designing ambitious, knowledge-rich curricula that develop children’s curiosity, understanding of the world and disciplinary thinking.
Alongside classroom teaching, Laura is a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) within her trust and has led professional development through INSET training, trust-wide curriculum projects and local authority cluster groups across Cheshire West and Chester. She has supported schools in reviewing and redesigning their geography curriculum, with a particular focus on progression and meaningful learning experiences.
Laura has a strong interest in research-informed practice, particularly within geography and history education, and enjoys engaging with current thinking around curriculum design and primary humanities teaching.
