Joshua Piggott
Joshua Piggott is a full-time Class Teacher and STEM Lead at St Nicholas CE First School. He is also a Primary Science Subject Lead for ITT at Best Practice Network. Joshua is passionate about ensuring research-informed pedagogy provides all children with high-quality learning opportunities and experiences, with a particular focus on excellence in Primary Science and the development of metacognitive skills to support lifelong learning.
Joshua has completed both the NPQML and NPQSL and has extensive experience collaborating with teachers and subject leaders across schools, alongside mentoring trainee teachers through ITT programmes. He has also worked closely with university researchers and industry professionals to strengthen Primary Science provision. He is the recipient of:

- Professional Learning Lead (Author and Facilitator), STEM Learning UK
- Fellow of the Primary Science Teaching Trust College
- Contributor to Kapow Primary and Royal Society of Chemistry’s Steps into Science
He has authored and reviewed national educational resources for organisations including Kapow Primary and the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Steps into Science. Joshua is also passionate about British farming and sustainability, leading whole-school initiatives that earned recognition as a LEAF Education Demonstration School.
