Hila Parker is Lower Key Stage 2 Phase Lead, Year 3 teacher and Design & Technology Coordinator at Horsell C of E Junior School.
As Design and Technology Lead for the past three years, Hila has developed extensive experience in shaping a high‑quality DT curriculum and strengthening practice across year groups. Her work on the Kapow DT advisory panel has further deepened her insight into effective DT pedagogy and national expectations. Hila’s areas of expertise include delivering DT CPD to build staff confidence, designing engaging and progressive DT units linked to wider curriculum themes, and leading collaborative projects with both the infant and high school to foster community-wide DT engagement. She is committed to ensuring every year group experiences meaningful, practical, and ambitious DT learning. Through active networking across the trust, she shares best practice, support consistency, and contributes to a collective vision for high‑quality Design and Technology education.
