Unit outcomes
Pupils who are secure will be able to:
- Give some reasons why different Hindu texts might be significant to people.
- Explain the difference between revealed and remembered texts and why some people might not agree with these categories.
- Talk about how some scripture originated.
- Explain that some Buddhists use scripture for guidance in everyday decisions and actions.
- Provide examples of how the Guru Granth Sahib is respected.
- Explain how some ways of using and treating the Qur’an show its importance to many Muslims.
- Recall what people from different religions believe about scripture.
- Share their opinion about whether scripture is central to religion, using examples from lessons.
