A rap about online safety
This Computing scheme of work video empowers Year 6 pupils to take control of their online safety and supports pupils in becoming digitally responsible as they prepare for life within and beyond school.
The lyrics highlight advanced online safety topics, including digital footprints, two-factor authentication, phishing, scams, and cyberbullying. Pupils are reminded to block, report and seek advice from trusted adults when something doesn’t feel right. The importance of consent, privacy settings and secure passwords is also reinforced.
The chorus reminds pupils to keep safe, show respect, and speak up if you’re unsure. The song also encourages good habits like keeping software up to date and using antivirus tools to protect personal data.
This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Online safety: Year 6 unit. It helps Year 6 pupils develop digital independence, supporting safe, respectful and informed use of technology as they move into secondary school and beyond.
