Creating simple digital designs

This Design and technology scheme of work video shows the children how to use Sketchpad to create simple digital designs using clipart and shapes. It shows the key processes of selecting and arranging images on the page to build up layers and demonstrates how to resize, reposition, rotate and change the colour of each element. It also shows how to use the undo tool to make quick corrections and improve their design with confidence.

The video illustrates each digital design step clearly so the children feel confident and well prepared to create layered graphics in the lesson and unit below.
