Pupils needing extra support: 

Could practise building their sentences in supported groups, using just je vais aller – I am going to go and a smaller choice of countries, focusing on accurate pronunciation; could add a reason once confident in the first part of the sentence.

Pupils working at greater depth:

Should use the correct form of the verbs in the reason section, e.g. avoir – to have, aimer – to like or adorer – to adore/love, to agree with their chosen sentence, for example, Cette année elles vont aller en France parce qu’elles aiment faire de la planche à voile – this year they will go to France because they like windsurfing.
