Describing people in french

This French scheme of work video introduces teachers to the skills needed to help Key stage 2 pupils build sentences and develop confidence in describing people. It explores how to revisit familiar vocabulary from previous years, revise phrases on age, birthdays and physical descriptions, and guide pupils through listening activities that test comprehension and stamina. The video demonstrates each step, from identifying information in sentences to physically manipulating word pieces, so pupils can understand word order and adapt structures independently.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Language teacher video resources. It simplifies the process, ensuring teachers feel confident and prepared to support the pupils in extending their writing, experimenting with vocabulary, and progressing towards longer, more accurate texts by the end of Key stage 2.
