French clothing vocabulary

This French video introduces teachers to a lesson on clothing vocabulary, focusing on the indefinite article forms un, une, and des, as well as the possessive adjectives mon, ma, and mes. Pupils learn twelve items of clothing through a well-known French children’s song and playground game, Promenons-nous dans les bois, and practise recognising patterns in masculine, feminine, and plural forms. The lesson includes opportunities to hear authentic language in context and to explore grammar through guided discovery.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s French – vocabulary. It provides ideas for practical vocabulary games, such as “Attrape et pars” (Grab and Go), where pupils race to collect the correct clothing item when prompted. The activities encourage active participation, reinforce vocabulary retention, and develop listening and speaking skills in a fun, competitive setting.
