A rap about online safety

This Computing scheme of work video helps Year 5 pupils explore online safety through an empowering song. It encourages the children to be responsible, resilient and respectful when navigating the digital world.

The song covers key online safety themes such as protecting passwords, checking app permissions and staying safe in chats and online spaces. It also explores more complex topics including misinformation, digital well-being and cyberbullying, reminding the children that support from trusted adults is always available. The children are encouraged to use good judgement, avoid sharing personal details and reflect on their digital actions. With a focus on kindness, balance and common sense, this video helps them be safe, be smart and make positive choices online.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Online safety: Year 5 unit. It supports Year 5 pupils in developing digital maturity, promoting confidence, critical thinking and well-being as part of their online life.
