A rap about online safety

This Computing scheme of work video helps Year 4 pupils explore key online safety messages through a fun and engaging song. The song teaches children how to stay smart and safe when using the internet.

Pupils are introduced to important digital skills such as checking the accuracy of search results, spotting advertisements and recognising scams. The song also explores how to handle online influences, understand the difference between facts and opinions, and choose trustworthy websites.

Kindness, screen time and thinking before sharing are also highlighted—reminding children to look after their own well-being and treat others with respect. The message is clear: if something feels wrong or worrying, speak to a trusted adult.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Online safety: Year 4 unit. It gives Year 4 pupils the tools to make good online choices, encouraging safe, responsible and thoughtful digital behaviour in a fun and memorable way.
