Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support:

Should use the Resource: Knowledge organiser: Science – Light and reflection to help them spot the odd one out in the Recap and recall activity; could view the completed model data line graph on slide 10 of the Presentation: Investigation: How reflective are space blankets? to help them label their axes and add a scale.

Pupils working at greater depth:

Should use their line graph to estimate the temperature change after 22.5 minutes; should extrapolate their line of best fit to predict the temperature change up to 60 minutes; could choose an extension activity relating to space blankets or the enquiry cycle from the Resource: Stretch and challenge: How reflective are space blankets.
