Lesson plan

1. Recap and recall

Arrange the class into the groups of three from Lesson 1: Investigating space blankets – Planning. Provide each group with a plastic bottle and a marker pen that can write on plastic. Alternatively, hand out small scraps of paper to wrap around the bottles.

Challenge the children to draw and label the human circulatory system on their bottle to turn it into the torso of a marathon runner.

Hand out the Knowledge organiser: Science - Circulation and health (one per group). Ask the groups to use it to check their diagrams and add any further details.
