Should use the Activity: Hijab: support version, which includes sentence stems to help structure their reply; could use pens in different colours to help structure their response, one colour for reasons someone might choose to wear a hijab, another for reasons someone might not want to, and a third colour for their own personal view.
Pupils working at greater depth
Could use the Activity: Hijab: extension version to apply their learning to challenge social boundaries; could suggest reasons why some people may be unsure about wearing a hijab even after Hafsa’s response in the Wrapping up.
