Recap and recall

Display the Presentation: 3, 2, 1 and hand out whiteboards and pens (one each). Ask the children to write down three things they have learnt about the Bible, two things they have found interesting and one question they still have about it. Take feedback.

Pupils needing extra support

Could discuss why they think a particular passage was included in the Bible without identifying the type of writing or the testament it came from; could look at the contents page of a Bible to support with the Activity: Passages to sort; could rewatch the Pupil video: What is in the Bible? Before completing the Wrapping up..

Pupils working at greater depth

Could look at all of the passages from the Activity: Sorting passages; could explain which type of writing has the most impact on someone reading it and why; could use the Activity: Original Bible quotes to sort instead of the simplified versions on the Activity: Passages to sort.
