Explain that the children will spot errors in instructions. Arrange the children in pairs. Display slide 1 of the Presentation: Make it right and explain the task. Read the question and instructions aloud and allow time for paired discussion.

Pupils needing support

Should use the vocabulary prompts on slide 2 of the Presentation: Monster instructions to help them verbalise their instructions; could have an adult or peer describe a monster to them first so that they can use this as an example.
