How can I use this document within my school?
This quick overview document provides an oversight of Kapow Primary’s RSE and PSHE curriculum from Y1-Y6. Our RSE and PSHE lessons are grouped into five key areas which are revisited in each year group: Family and relationships; Safety and the changing body; Health and wellbeing; Citizenship; and Economic wellbeing. Year 6 have an additional focus on Identity. This overview shows what each year group studies within each key area.
This document may be particularly useful to RSE/PSHE subject leaders and curriculum leads, who can use it to see how each key area is covered across different years to support consistent progression of skills and knowledge across the key stages.
