A progressive primary RSE & PSHE curriculum covering the National curriculum
An outline of the intent and rationale behind Kapow Primary’s RSE and PSHE scheme of work for KS1 and KS2 that provides full coverage of the statutory and non-statutory elements of the National curriculum for relationships, sex and health education, as well as covering the PSHE Association’s guidance.
The document explains how the scheme is implemented as a whole school approach with strands of learning relating to family and relationships, health and wellbeing, safety and the changing body, citizenship and economic wellbeing and provides guidance on assessing the impact of the approach.
Use it to create your school’s ‘Three I’s’ document: what you want pupils to learn, how you implement this in the curriculum’s structure and what pupil outcomes will be.
