Kapow Primary’s innovative tool revolutionises Art assessment in primary education.

Unlock the full potential of art education in primary schools with Kapow Primary’s groundbreaking Art Assessment Tool. This unique resource is specially designed to address the inherent challenges of evaluating art and design in an educational setting.

Addressing Primary Art Assessment Challenges

Kapow Primary understands that assessing art in primary schools is a complex task, often hindered by the application of linear assessment strategies meant for core subjects. Their tool offers a fresh perspective, acknowledging that learning in art is non-linear and revolves around creativity, technique, and expressive skills, beyond mere facts and knowledge.

Empowering Teachers with Confidence

Many educators face a lack of confidence in their artistic abilities and knowledge. Kapow Primary’s tool demystifies art assessment, providing clear guidance on evaluating practical skills, generating ideas, and the use of sketchbooks. This approach empowers teachers, regardless of their art background, ensuring they can confidently assess and nurture young artistic talents.

Bridging the Gap in Practical Skills Assessment

The tool addresses the gap in assessing practical skills in art. While traditional methods like quizzes and spreadsheets assess knowledge acquisition, Kapow Primary’s tool focuses on the practical strands of art and design, offering a more rounded evaluation of a child’s artistic progress.

A Versatile and Comprehensive Approach

The visual assessment tool is versatile, allowing educators to tailor it to their school’s specific needs. It builds a holistic picture of each child’s progress in art, encompassing making skills, idea generation, and effective use of sketchbooks. This comprehensive approach ensures a balanced and thorough assessment of each pupil’s artistic journey.

A Guide, Not a Dictat

Kapow Primary emphasises that their art scheme and assessment tool are designed to cultivate creativity and embrace diverse outputs from individual expression. The tool serves as a guide, illustrating potential outcomes and providing a language to discuss children’s work, complementing other assessment methods.

Revolutionise your approach to primary art assessment with Kapow Primary’s Art Assessment Tool – a pivotal step in nurturing the next generation of artists.
