Knowledge organiser – History Y2: How was school different in the past?

A Knowledge organiser that captures the essential knowledge and skills learnt throughout the History, Y2, How was school different in the past? unit.

This resource is designed to support children as they compare schools now and in the past. It highlights key vocabulary and helps develop a chronological understanding of ‘within living memory’ and ‘beyond living memory’.

Transitioning to Kapow Primary Music

Planning for each year group to support staff and pupils to smoothly transition to our Music scheme of work in schools where music has previously not been taught consistently, or you have concerns about pupils’ ability to access the Kapow curriculum due to a lack of prior knowledge and understanding. All year groups have two catch up units (except for year two, which has one unit) to build a solid foundation of essential knowledge and skills before proceeding to our intended units and lessons for the year group.

Each of the catch-up units consists of selected lessons taken from a range of units in the previous year groups. This will support both staff and pupils in feeling confident and comfortable when approaching more advanced lessons.
