Interpreting faith and culture

This Religion and worldviews video introduces teachers to the unit “What is religion?” and supports children in understanding how religious and cultural diversity develops through traditions, interpretation and geography. The video prepares teachers to help children investigate Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Buddhist worldviews, exploring key concepts such as influence, culture, interpretation, and diversity. It encourages discussion of stories, festivals, practices, and texts, helping children consider their own worldview in comparison with others, while promoting respect for a wide range of beliefs and expressions of faith.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Religion and worldviews resources – the world. It provides essential teacher guidance for exploring the diversity within and between these worldviews and helping children reflect on their own experiences and understanding in inclusive, age-appropriate ways.
