Team play and game skills

This PE scheme of work video introduces teachers to a final lesson designed to help Key stage 2 pupils consolidate their learning and apply their football skills in a game setting. It focuses on teamwork, communication and role-sharing, encouraging children to support one another and share possession during play. The video introduces “Pass Who,” a flexible passing activity that can be adapted for different ability levels and progressively builds towards more game-like scenarios with movement, passing, and shooting.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s PE Football resources. It simplifies the process, offering strategies for differentiation and showcasing a 5 v 5 game where children demonstrate their dribbling, passing and shooting skills. Teachers are guided through supportive adaptations to ensure success for all pupils, while reinforcing positive team behaviours and preparing them for future units focused on defending and tackling.
