Playground games and Paris puzzle

This French video introduces teachers to three engaging activities that combine physical play with French vocabulary practice. Pupils first learn La Marelle, a French variation of hopscotch, using minimal on-screen vocabulary and simple equipment. They then try Le Loup et Il Passer, a lively chase game that incorporates repeated counting up to twelve in French, reinforcing number recognition through movement and repetition.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s French scheme – French. It supports both lesson and playtime language use. It concludes with a collaborative giant dot-to-dot puzzle based on Paris landmarks, using French number words for sequencing. The activity encourages teamwork, spelling accuracy, and cultural awareness, and can be adapted with pre-printed cards for efficiency.
