Numbers and money in French

This French scheme of work video introduces teachers to the skills needed to help Key stage 2 pupils revise and apply their knowledge of numbers in real-life contexts. It explores engaging activities such as FizzBuzz to reinforce counting skills and shows how to extend learning into role play situations using euros, money vocabulary and simple exchanges. The video demonstrates each step, from checking prior knowledge to building confidence in handling numbers through practical supermarket and café scenarios.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Language teacher video resources. It simplifies the process, ensuring teachers feel confident and prepared to support the pupils in applying their number knowledge to meaningful situations. With opportunities to explore cultural differences between French and English supermarkets, practise discovery-based worksheets and role play market stalls, the lesson makes number revision purposeful, interactive and fun.
