Editing and sharing digital photos

This Computing video supports teachers in showing the children how to edit their own photos by managing and accessing image files.

The video demonstrates how to upload images from digital cameras to Google Drive, create shared folders for each device and use Google Slides as a space for the children to manipulate their photos. It also explains how to generate and shorten shareable links using tools like Bit.ly so the children can access images without needing their own Gmail accounts. The lesson builds organisational and technical skills, supporting the children in preparing photos for editing and preparing them for the next stage, which is searching for and using copyright-free images online.

This video is part of the Year 1 Creating media: Digital imagery unit, supporting the children to develop their skills in managing and editing digital images.
