Using digital Bee-Bots in Computing

This Computing scheme of work video introduces teachers to the skills needed to support Year 1 pupils using a digital Bee-Bot emulator. It explains how the children can give simple programming commands, sequence instructions and control a virtual robot using an on-screen interface.

The video demonstrates each control, including how to move, rotate, pause and reset the Bee-Bot. It also explores how different virtual mats can be selected to create engaging programming challenges for pupils.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Computing – Year 1 videos. It builds teacher confidence and simplifies the process of teaching early programming in lessons like the one below.
