Recognising and pronouncing the letter ‘e’ in Spanish

In this Spanish video, pupils learn to recognise and pronounce the ‘e’ sound in Spanish, represented by the letter ‘e’ and pronounced ‘eh’. The video supports pupils in hearing, articulating and identifying this sound across Spanish vocabulary.

Pupils explore articulation using mouth mechanics, beginning with a wide smile for ‘e’ and lowering the chin for the target sound, helping them develop accurate speech production. They practise identifying the sound in sample sentences and discover its high frequency in everyday language, reinforcing the importance of this phoneme. Through repeated practice pupils build confidence and familiarity with commonly used words in Spanish.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Spanish videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore and develop their language skills.
