Understanding why we should not waste resources

In this Geography video, the children are introduced to the concept of resources, defined as the things we use from nature or the world around us to live, grow and build.

The video explores different types of resources, including water, wood, metal, fossil fuels and food, and encourages the children to think about how we use them in everyday life. They learn the difference between renewable and non-renewable resources, providing a foundation for discussions about sustainability, climate impact and global responsibility. The video also encourages the children to reflect on how to look after and use resources wisely to protect the planet for future generations.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Geography Sustainability collection, helping pupils become responsible users and stewards of Earth’s resources.
