Exploring the Zoroastrian worldview

This Religion and worldviews video introduces the pupils to the Zoroastrian worldview, one of the oldest religions in the world. It explains the key beliefs, including faith in one God, Ahura Mazda, the creator of all things, who represents goodness and light. The pupils learn about Zoroaster, the prophet who shared these teachings, and explore the Zoroastrian belief in choosing good thoughts, kind words and helpful actions.

The pupils are also introduced to important elements of Zoroastrian worship, such as the fire temples, where an eternal flame burns as a symbol of Ahura Mazda’s presence. They discover how Zoroastrians understand the balance between good and evil and how their faith guides them to live good lives. The video helps the children understand one of the world’s oldest monotheistic religions and supports teachers in exploring faith, morality and the concept of good and evil.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Religious education videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore different beliefs, values and traditions and develop respect and understanding for people of all faiths and worldviews.
