Looping sounds in scratch

In this Kapow Computing pupil video, the children are guided through a lesson that helps them select and loop sounds in a Scratch project.

The video demonstrates how the children can access the ‘Sounds’ tab and choose from a range of options, including the Scratch library, recording their own sound, uploading a file, or selecting a surprise sound. It shows how to browse categories such as animals, voice, and effects, and how selected sounds appear in the sound section ready for use. The children then learn to return to the coding area and build a short script using event, sound, and control blocks. The video shows how to trigger a sound with the green flag and loop it using the ‘repeat’ block, exploring how loops can repeat instructions and enhance interactivity.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Computing videos, supporting the children to develop their multimedia and coding skills.
