Real world uses of Python
This Computing video introduces Year 6 pupils to Python and explains how computers follow instructions to carry out tasks. It helps the children understand that code is used in school, at home and across the wider world to make technology work.
The video introduces Python as a widely used coding language and explains how it is used in science, transport, healthcare and everyday life. The children see examples of how Python helps track weather, keep roads safe, support doctors and manage systems in schools. They explore how code helps solve problems, generate ideas and improve the way the world works, encouraging curiosity about the technology they use every day.
This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Computing Year 5 and 6 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to develop their digital skills, explore key computing concepts and create their own digital projects.
