How plants grow and reproduce

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow Science scheme of work . It is designed for pupils and explores the fascinating life cycle of a flowering plant. The video follows each stage of growth, from the tiny seed packed with everything needed to begin life, through germination, seedling development, and the growth of adult plants with flowers.

Pupils learn how flowers attract pollinators like bees, which help transfer pollen so that fruit can grow. The video also explains how seeds are dispersed (by animals, wind, or water) giving new plants space to grow. With clear explanations and engaging visuals, the video helps pupils understand how the cycle continues, showing how every stage is essential to the survival of plants.

The video is designed to be shown to pupils as part of Science, key stage 2, Year 3, Plants: Plant reproduction, Lesson 4: Flowers
