Exploring the United Kingdom

In this Geography video, the children are introduced to the countries and capital cities of the United Kingdom and explore some of its most famous landmarks and natural features. The video encourages the children to develop their locational knowledge while fostering curiosity about the wider UK.

The children learn that the United Kingdom is made up of four countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Each country is introduced with key facts, capital cities and well-known locations. The video ends by inviting the children to reflect: With so many amazing places to explore, where would you like to visit in the United Kingdom? This video is ideal for building strong geographical foundations and nurturing a sense of national identity and wonder.
