Dribbling with control

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow PE scheme of work. It is designed for pupils and explores different ways of dribbling a football with control and confidence. The video begins with using the inside of the foot, tapping the ball gently while angling the foot outwards. Pupils then learn to use the outside of the foot, angling it inwards for a change of direction. In open space, pupils are introduced to dribbling with their laces by pointing the toes down and pushing the ball forward. To stop the ball, both the step trap and inside trap are demonstrated. Pupils are reminded to use light touches and keep the ball close to their feet.

The video is designed to be shown to pupils as part of Physical education, key stage 2, KS2, Football, Lesson 1: Ball skills
