Problemas en el desierto

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow Spanish scheme of work. It is designed for pupils and helps them understand how to talk about environmental changes in Spanish, through the voice of a lizard living in the Atacama Desert in Chile.

The lizard describes how life is becoming harder: it’s hotter than before, there is less water, fewer plants, and fewer insects to eat. Pupils hear how these changes are affecting the lizard’s home and learn key vocabulary and phrases to describe problems in the environment. They also find out how small actions, like saving electricity, recycling plastics, and walking more, can help protect nature. The video encourages pupils to think globally and act locally, all while building confidence in using Spanish.
