Introduction to cross stitch
This Design and technology scheme of work video introduces Year 3 pupils to cross stitch, a decorative sewing technique used to add pattern and texture to textile projects.
The children will see each step clearly, from threading the needle and anchoring stitches to creating neat, symmetrical crosses and finishing off securely. The video encourages the children to focus on accuracy and patience while developing fine motor skills.
